Call: Common Weal Community Arts seeks Hip-Hop Artists

ATTENTION EMERGING HIP HOP ARTISTS

Common Weal Community Arts is a provincial arts organization that links artists with
communities to promote social justice and cultural identity through collaboration and
creative expression.

Common Weal is currently accepting submissions for ROOTS OF TRUTH, a compilation
CD to be released in Fall 2007. This project is open to emerging HIP HOP and SPOKEN
WORD artists (under 30 years old and recording independently) living in Saskatchewan.
To have your track included for consideration on the ROOTS OF TRUTH compilation
CD, please include:

• An MP3 or CD with track name and length clearly indicated
• A short bio of yourself
• The names of all the people involved in creating your track
• Your age
• Info on where to reach you (e-mail, phone number, mailing address)

IF CHOSEN FOR THE ROOTS OF TRUTH PROJECT YOU WILL GET:
• Your track on the CD
• A reproduction/artist fee for your track being on the CD
• 5 free copies of the CD

DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSIONS IS JULY 20, 2007. ARTISTS WILL BE NOTIFIED OF
THE SELECTION COMMITTEE’S DECISIONS BY AUGUST 3, 2007.
