Call: Signal & Noise Festival seeks submissions

Signal and Noise 2008 will take place in April.

The theme for signal & noise 2008 is Media Intercourse.

We invite you to share your precious media fluids. Please be lubricated by the following possibilities: • Cords, Connectors and Couplings (spawned, produced, manufactured. Erotic, sensual pornographic and hot) • Recording and Reproduction (pasts, futures and the imagined adaptation, mutation, filtration) • Avatars Anonymous (guilty pleasures, contradictions paradoxes, hypocrisies and addictions) • Capitalism, Consumption and Control (discord, discourse, discharge. Information-juicy / market-breeding)

Deadline for submission: November 1st 2007

Submissions must be received at our at office at 6 pm by this date. No exceptions!

Selection: Entries selected for the 2008 festival will be listed on the website in early 2008. Due to the volume of entries in the past years, we cannot individually contact artists whose works were not selected for the festival. Please ensure your contact information is up to date and accurate as selected artists will be contacted for follow up.

Costs: Signal and Noise operates out of a not for profit artist run centre and therefore will not be able to cover any travel costs. We are able to provide support letters for funding to all selected applicants. Projects that require extensive technical resources will not be accepted unless provided by the artist.
