Great Canadian Theatre Company

Position Available: Administrator
The Great Canadian Theatre Company (GCTC) is a professional not for
profit
charitable company producing contemporary Canadian theatre in Ottawa.

GCTC seeks an Administrator with strong financial accounting and
organizational skills, office management experience, and knowledge in
theatre practices an asset. The Administrator reports to the General
Manager
and performs the financial record keeping and office management duties
on a
day-to-day basis.
Responsibilities include:
- Accounting and financial record bookkeeping duties
- Manage office operations
- Prepare and monitor theatre, service and business contracts
- Co-ordinate guest artist requirements
- Co-ordinate Board affairs

Candidates must have administrative experience in the not-for-profit
sector
and/or arts administration and a solid record of accountability. Ideal
candidates will have the ability to conduct the business operations of
the
company in a professional and mature manner and respect the
confidentiality
of business matters. Post-secondary education is an asset. Ideal
candidates
must have excellent computer and financial skills and experience with
Quick
Books Pro Edition 2007 an asset. Candidates should have solid written
and
oral communication skills and the ability to work independently and in a
team situation.
